Insurance towing refers to the involvement that your insurance company has when it comes to your vehicle being towed and the costs associated with it. Many insurance companies will pay for towing expenses if you have been involved in a collision where your vehicle is no longer road safe. Insurance companies will likely not cover the costs of towing if you have illegally parked your vehicle or you were under the influence while driving. However, you could potentially save hundreds of dollars with insurance towing benefits if the need for towing is not your fault.
If you have recently been involved in a collision or your car has recently broken down and is no longer road safe, you may be entitled to tow services that are included in your insurance coverage. We highly recommend consulting with your auto insurance company to see what is covered and under what conditions towing services are available to you. Doing so will ensure that you save time and money on costs associated with towing your vehicle and later storing it at our facility and that you can reclaim any costs that accumulate from towing.
What Your Insurance Will Cover
As always, checking with your insurance company to see what they will cover is one of the first steps when it comes to purchasing auto insurance and understanding further what your benefits get you and what your premium will cover. If you have questions or need an estimate on your towing services to send it to your insurance company, just get in contact and let us know, and we would be happy to assist you. We can also coordinate with your insurance company if there is a discrepancy in the final costs of towing or storing your vehicle. If your insurance company does cover the costs of accident towing as a result of a collision or a breakdown, we can, oftentimes, work directly with them to bill them for the costs of your towing services.
After your vehicle has been towed, we will then compile a final bill for the amount due after the towing and storage of your vehicle is complete. This bill will then be submitted to the insurance company, who can then pay the damages on your behalf so that you are not stuck paying for towing costs out-of-pocket. For such reasons, it is very important to have car insurance so that you can benefit from those privileges, including your insurance company paying for reimbursements of towing services or repairs for your vehicle’s breakdown.
While we typically work on behalf of individual clients, we also work on behalf of businesses to mediate between repossession of the vehicle and the company. If a contracting party has fallen short on payments or defaulted on the loan in general, their vehicle may be subject to repossession, in which case we will safely and securely carry out such duties. When it comes to repossession, we approach the situations calmly and talk to the other party through the process, if they are present during repossession.
